    1. Although I am leaning toward MS in majority of solutions, Teams are proving to be objectively a very serious platform preferred by majority of universities and with this option of adding custom code, there is a strong possibility that we can use this both in the combination with our courses and withing ConfTech as as new playground. As far as I can see, this will be the future strategy for platforms as the need for integrations skyrocket. The biggest drawback is that you are giving more and more to Microsoft.

    2. Using the Power Platform, Microsoft wants customers to build Teams apps that are specific to their business. With the new platform, anyone can build apps, workflows and chatbots regardless of their coding experience.

This should mean that we can develop Textus within Teams, integrate with Moodle (although this should be part of the regular integration, some other custom function can be introduced) etc. ||Jovan|| ||dusan|| ||StephanieBP|| ||ArvinKamberi||

    1. Agile 2 brings back the idea that one needs many forms of leadership. Simply telling teams that they each need to self-organise, and that managers should just trust the teams - these are not enough. It brings the focus back to the individual, as well as the team. Individuals need attention. They need professional growth and mentorship, coaching, leadership development, opportunities to learn, to try new things, and receive frequent feedback. Individuals also need individual recognition, and they need opportunities to advance professionally.

Couldn't agree more. Worker is not a machine (yet).

    2. Scrum

More details about Scrum> https://www.atlassian.com/agile/scrum Atlassian is gigant behind Trello and Jira.

    3. Agile favors “generalists” or “generalizing specialists” who are largely substitutable. This is a good practice, but individuals are still important, and so are experts.

As a "generalist" myself I completely understand this point. For multitasking teams having "jack of all trades" is a necessity. But you cannot have team built only out of experts for all - again talking from personal experience, because you need specialists and one "head" to keep the multitasking and different tracks together.

    4. The second statement advocates the use of “self-organizing” teams - that is, teams that have no designated leadership or predefined structure. A self-organizing team might select its leadership from within the team, and define its structure, but none is defined from the outside.

Again, same problem - from my experience, agile fails if the team is asymmetric i.e. have very differently capable individuals. Without a clear leadership it will not self regulate.

    5. The first statement says to “trust the team”. That is fine, except that it says this without adding any qualification, such as “trust but verify”, or “trust but check on them to make sure they are on track.”

This can work only in ideal world where you have a team of outstanding independent professionals with very similar work ethic and habits.

    6. One of the better explanations of the agile philosophy (better term than methodology). As mentioned in the text, it was a response to a slow and rigid structure, but it is far from ideal. The text advocates some changes/improvements - Agile 2.0 Key points:

      • enable people to focus instead of multitask
      • leadership is necessary -fortunately there are different options/modalities
      • be flexible
      • bringing back focus to individuals from team

Basically, no change here. Alleged security risks by China will be replaced by other threat actors (be they state or individual).

    2. Agile

Here is the very nice explanation of the Agile methodology. It is very flexible by definition, but, as I've mentioned, based on my experience, it is very sensitive to the team structure - this flexibility requires very organised "head". ||Jovan||

    1. Companies relying on SCCs will have to begin the case-by-case assessments of their transfers to determine whether the protections in the U.S. or any country without an adequacy determination meet EU standards in the context of the specific transfer.

To continue the concept that I've outlined in the page note, this doesn't mean anything to me as a webmaster and as a business owner. What exactly do I need to do/implement? Should I remove the Google services or are some of them ok, can I host my website in the US, what happens if I'm using Cloudflare etc...

    2. A brainstorming/question/proposal.

This issue with Privacy shield going down has created a lot of buzz in technical community and I have first hand knowledge of European companies removing Google Analytics and related services from their websites which is a very big deal ad has consequences on business process among many other things. Since there is a lot of misunderstanding about the implications of this court decision, can we write something which is more tangible and useful for the average user than majority of texts I've came across on the web that go into detail explaining the rulings but not really explaining what operationally this means for website owners - similarly what happened when GDPR appeared. This could be one of those nice trending/visiting articles that can generate visibility for a long time.

I would target a slightly wider audience of webmasters and business owners who are not into legal vocabulary but more in "what do I have to do now" and why the shouldn't rush into panic.

I have come across several similar articles from ZDNet, Techcrunch etc and they all have negative sentiment toward Google on this. Also, this is private entity which may be included in the wider discussion but not lead it in any case.

    1. Our idea was simple. We wanted to provide a practical handbook for diplomats to make the best use of what was a new powerful tool. IT literacy among diplomats was almost non-existent. The changes that the Internet brought to the diplomatic professional life took place too quickly to be metabolised. Therefore, there was a need for training in new skills and new tools. The powerful new tool was now at the diplomat’s complete disposal.
