The approach I’ll detail below for surfacing featured snippets involves both SEMrush and Google Search Console (formerly called Google Webmaster Tools). By using both tools together, you can discover which queries are yielding featured snippets from your site, which landing pages are being surfaced, and the impact that those featured snippets are having. Let’s dig in.
This is tool that can help finding snippets on website.

This thread in discussion aims to provide technical solutions for squizing image into container. Practically speaking, we hve to try to have our thumbnails look more normal than they look now at the actors page: https://dig.watch/actors
They can be round (currently) or roundings squares: https://www.google.com/search?q=square+with+round+corners&rlz=1C5CHFA_enCH815CH815&tbm=isch&source=iu&ictx=1&fir=iu53C8864tXRCM%252CnJQYcIybfvR3iM%252C_&vet=1&usg=AI4_-kScZ3YLvicLzJdxVhvrriGAnMPLOw&sa=X&ved=2ahUKEwj77vO1lsjtAhUCGuwKHSOoDLwQ_h16BAgUEAE#imgrc=iu53C8864tXRCM
So far we started making moves in this direction:
- making logo images in vector format
||djordjej||||Jelena|| Let us experiment with technical solutions (I found this one by searching). If it does not work with round containers let us make square with roundish corner. In brief, we have to solve this problem by experimenting.

We need to have better information about our funding. Our funding - outcome ratio is fascinating (we do a lot for little money comparting to others). We should not hide it.
Here is one idea - how we should present our funding.
We should also make clearer links to our annual reports.

[Latest] Online meetings have long been seen as a poor substitute for face-to-face ones. With the COVID-19 pandemic and the responses from governments around the world, this view has changed. Online meetings are now a necessity for many organisations. The question is no longer ‘should we use online meetings despite their drawbacks?’ but rather ‘how can we use online meetings effectively?’ and ‘how do we blend online with face-to-face meetings?’ Our course on the Future of Meetings for Global Governance has just started. Interested in our next intake? Subscribe for updates.

COVID-19 has brought the world to its knees. With almost every country and territory reporting cases of the coronavirus, the world is having to adapt to a new kind of normal.
Remove - start with 'latest' which can be renamed into 'Updates' (latest creates risk of cynical comment that if we have something 3 month sold it could not be considered the latest)

Priority: medium (to have it functional till the end of October).
Why? It is clear that website are 'image intensive'. Our websites are very shy on images and very intensive on text. We have to change this 'ratio'. We have to do it carefully with moderation and style.
WHAT? Ultimate result should be to give our curators and DW editors offer of 5 photos/images to be associated with new updates. They can select one image and publish on DW.
HOW? Steps to do achieve this (around persons)
- ||dusan|| sends new update (summary and link to full text) to ||JovanNj|| who
- sends this to SketchEngine, which process the text and return 5 keywrods/tags to JovanNJ who....
- sends this tags/keywords to one or many Photo/Images Stocks (Misko will identify a few photo/images stocks and see how they communicate with outside applications - e.g. how they can receive keywords and select images - e.g. is there any API; if there is a need we will subscribe to these services)
- Photo/image stocks can return 5 top images to Textus Admin where curator or Andrijana can select the right one and publish on DW. Dusan will need to adjust Textus Admin for this services.
This process should be happening in real-time.
NEXT STEPS?We should start developing this in our agile-style:
- have brainstorming next week with inputs
- prepare plan given other priorities
- deploy initial version (good enough)
- fine-tune it via feedback.
It is also a small 'communication experiment'. You can either comment here (use Textus as discussion board) or in Textus document (annotation to GoogleDoc). Please, start reflecting what would be your favourite way in discussing this type of issues (Textus discussion thread or GoogleDoc). We will start discussion on one of our DiploTeam meetings. Here is GoogleDoc with this text (if you prefer to annotate GoogleDoc)
||djordjej|| will make sure that process moves on. ||Jovan|| will follow-up on brainstormings.

As cities are going into hight due to limited land (skyscappers) websites are going in two directions:
- length (longer pages)
- width (using horisontal scrollers).
Here is an interesting solution from Swissinfo.ch to present Latest news as horisontal display (analogy with movies). They use it also for updates from the main agencies.
||djordjej|| Could you put on 'DW development' an idea of developing module that would display updates in this type of 'horisontal way'. We may start using it. Priority: medium (lates - end of October)

After more than ten years immersed in the multilateral side of the practice of diplomacy and international relations, the Bilateral Diplomacy Course provided me with an invaluable complement to my experience. Though challenging and intense, Ambassador Rana guided us in a manner that allowed us to exchange and discuss the topics and generate ideas, as well as to apply what was learnt to our real-life situations. I was particularly drawn to the myriad theories and aspects of cultural diplomacy, and the role it plays in the successful practice of diplomacy and negotiations, which provided me with new skills that are useful to my work.

earing a mask and social distancing are two important barriers to COVID-19 infection, public health experts and government officials say. But adoption of the seemingly simple precautions has become a cultural battleground in a country where individual rights have long been considered part of the nation’s founding ethos. And yet, what do we owe our fellow citizens in the age of a deadly virus with no vaccine that has already taken close to 170,000 lives, and will likely take thousands, and potentially hundreds of thousands, more? In his popular course “Justice,” Michael Sandel, Harvard’s Anne T. and Robert M. Bass Professor of Government, regularly asks his students to take on such thorny ethical questions. He will do so again this fall with his new class, “Justice: Ethics in an Age of Pandemic and Racial Reckoning.” The Gazette recently asked Sandel for his thoughts on the subject.
this paragraph could be an inspiraiton for Diplo's writing style for the following reasons:
- first sentence is clear, contains key words (masks and social distancing)
- explains problems
- provides link to the course
- introduce intervieew
In brief, first sentence attracts your attention, then you learn more about issues and you get indication that you can learn even more at the course and than you go into interview....

“What is typography?” is a question asked by many. Typography is the art of arranging and designing type. The arrangement of type involves the selection of typefaces, point size, line length, line-spacing (leading), adjustment of space between groups of letters (tracking) and adjustment of space between pairs of letters (kerning).
A good definition of typography

n order to grasp the employment structure of Facebook, we have used public LinkedIn profiles of 1000 people indicating Facebook as their employer as well as the biographies of the entire management of Facebook. By mapping their social background, education, status, and present position in the hierarchy of the company, we gained insights into the various social connections of the “Facebook government” as a whole. These insights can be used to explain some of the actions of the company and the network – related actors and the [evolution of the] business model and can be helpful to try and predict future developments.
I would make less space between lines in order to make it visually different from the text on the right.

Videos versus GIFs Both Videos and GIFs have their pros and their cons. Some key points to consider: Videos are more efficient than GIFs, so they’re better for longer clips and high-quality outputs GIFs will “play” in the body of an email, but videos can usually only be attached In some contexts, like on Twitter, GIFs can play and loop automatically while videos require the user to click play

Technology is Stupid
This text is useful for a few reasons:
- it provides a good summary of remote working tools (ConfTech Lab)
- it is a good attempt to play with different fonts and spacings in ordere to make long text more engaging - it is not yet 'there' but it is approach that we should use for our long texts: different fonts, spacings, braking with images.
